Buddha at Taxila
The following work in stone housed at the Taxila Museum has me quite stunned and much intrigued.
It shows Buddha blessing a 'Brahmin' ascetic who is seated in his hut and is reverential towards Buddha. Buddha's teachings to brahmin disciples is extensively documented in Pali canon. But what is fascinating in this image is depiction of a Greek scholar following Buddha around with what appears to be stationery to document Buddha's words ! I haven't come across records of Buddha teaching the Greeks. Truly Fascinating !

the last communist...
Dubey ji is one large-hearted, warm, lively and intellectually stimulating person who experienced communism in Soviet Union first-hand. He saw the Union crumble, he also watched communist China welcome Capitalism and today witnesses the Indian Communist movement lost in the wilderness. Even in his happy hours the brand loyalty persists ! Three cheers for Dubeyji !
